Wheelchair Loans
All of our wheelchairs have been kindly donated by members of the public or purchased with support from local business Wenman Healthcare, who also help us keep them in excellent working condition.
Each wheelchair is given a name, either chosen by its donor or by someone who has benefited from using it.
So, a heartfelt thank you to Henry, Ronald, Clary, Trevor, Bob, Ena, Doreen, Peggie, Fred, June, and friends, your generosity keeps our wheels turning!
How it works
We offer wheelchairs on loan to the public for short- or medium-term use. All our wheelchairs are regularly maintained, and we’ll show you how to set them up safely and comfortably.
We have two types available:
• Self-propelled wheelchairs – for individuals who can manoeuvre themselves
• Attendant-propelled (manual) wheelchairs – for those who have someone to assist them
Suggested Donation: £20
A suggested donation of £20 helps us maintain the wheelchairs and continue providing this service.
